Toolsoft Video Player is capable of playing a wide range of video formats. Among so many media players available, this application’s main asset is its capability to play a wider range of formats than most software of the same type. In this regard, it supports MP4, 3GP, FLV, M4V, AVI, ASF, WMV, DAT, VOB, MOV and MPEG files.
Toolsoft Video Player’s interface is definitely something to talk about because it does not look like any other popular video player. Instead of the traditional layout composed by a screen, a playlist and playback controls, you will find a file explorer. The difference is that the files with different video formats will be highlighted by colors; this will make it easier for you to find video files. In addition, you will be able to generate HTML lists of the videos in a folder.
Playing a video file is as simple as double-clicking the desired file. A set of conventional buttons will help you play, pause and stop the video and you can adjust the sound level as well. However, these controls are rather limited and do not allow rewinding, going fast forward or playing next and previous files.
In my opinion, the greatest limitation is that Toolsoft Video Player does not allow full-screen visualization of the video. Since this application minimizes to the System Tray, you have to be careful not to open it several times without noticing it because the program will run another instance whenever you click on its icon.
